Menopause confusion??

I have been into full menopause for about 1 1/2 years. I have had more Doctor visits in this time than I have had in my whole life! It seems everything is blamed on menopause, from my swollen glands, gallbladder not functioning, swollen ankles & knees, sore joints, dry eyes, sleep problems and the best one yet is dental problems..Just don't understand. How can Everything be menopause? Some of these symptoms I have found on sites as menopausal but..swollen glands? and gallbladder disease? I feel like the doctors are just putting the old gray mare out to pasture. Anyone else have these problems?

I have problems with your doctor. Schedule an appointment to see another doctor...preferably in a different office all together. Ask your friends, or...well, is there such a thing as a menopause specialist? if there is, go see them.

If you don't want to get a second opinion, get an appointment at your doctors office and ask your doctor how the swollen glands an the gallblader disease are symptoms of menopause...since it isn't listed on the web sites.

Check for Sjogren's syndrome in the websearch

Many doctors (who call themselves doctors) take the easy way out when they see a woman of menopause age and just blame all symptoms on that. They don't want to be bothered searching for the real source so this is an easy way out for them. You need another doctor and try to find one from someone you may know. Good luck.
