Gallbladder? stomach? whats wrong with me?!? |
i had an esophageal disease that was disabling me from swallowing most foods.. i had two EGD's done with dialation to break up the scartissue so i could eat, and now that i can, i get nauseous and sick over EVERYTHING. i can drink water and get sick. ive had some tests done, and the only thing my surgeon can think of is that my gallbladder isn't working properly, and she wants to take it out... but i really don't think that will solve the whole problem... IM SO FRUSTRATED! Have the gallbladder taken out. You would be surprised at the problems that it can cause. That would also would be my problem if my doctor would tell me he/she thinks it would take care of the problem. You might go through the surgery and it might not. Even though doctors guess far more about the diagnosis they come up, I would have to draw the line if I would be getting a operation, and it only be a guess. The gall bladder is something you can live uite normally without. It's major function is the production of bile and related bile salts fo the emulsification of lipids. if you have gas or bloating after eating, or stabbing pain on the upper right side or diarrhea, it could be gallbladder. yes this sounds like your gallbladder. my husband had the same problem. had gallbladder attack and was in lot of pain. he too could only eat a little without getting sick to stomach. the dr. wasnt sure at first and had him eat yogurt which helped the pain and nausia for a while. but the atack was bad and pain was terrible, like knife through upper stomach through to back. pain was so bad i had to take him to e.r. He had it removed just in time before it burst. takes a couple of months to recoop but its worth it. the reason your nauseous is that bile is produced from liver in to gallbladder where it stores it till you need it to digest yur food. if its blocked then theres no bile and thats what the pain and nausea are from. check with dr. again and good luck, i hope you feel beter soon Did they test you for H-pylori? A friend of mine had those same symptoms and she had to ask to be tested for that and it was what she had. She had to take strong antibiotics but she got better. Hope you get better soon! |
