Rib pain on right side?

I HAVE BEEN HAVING PAIN ON MY RUQ FOR NEARLY 2 YEARS NOW,IVE HAD 3 ULTRASOUNDS,BLOODWORK DONE AND EVERYTHING COMES BACK NORMAL.THE PAIN RADIATES HIGH INTO MY RIGHT RIBCAGE,AND IT WILL EASE UP IF I STRETCH OR LAY DOWN IN A STRETCHED POSISTION.THE PAIN RADIATES INTO MY UPPER BACK ALSO.IT HURTS WORSE IF IM AT SITTING AT THE COMPUTER TOO LONG OR DRIVING TOO LONG,BUT SOMETIMES THE PAIN ALSO FEELS LIKE IT COULD BE IN THE LIVER AREA TOO THOUGH.I AM SRTESSING SOMETHING TERRIBLE WONDERING WHAT COULD BE WRONG,I THOUGHT IF IT WAS GALLBLADDER DISEASE THAT I WOULD HAVE THE SYMPTOMS LIKE NAUSEA,VIMOTTING,JAUNDICE,WEIGHT LOSS(WHICH I AM A BIT OVERWEIGHT FOR MY HEIGHT)ETC...PLEASE HELP EASE MY MIND AND ANYONE ELSE WITH ANY OF THE SAME SYMPTOMS BECAUSE IM REALLY AT MY WITTS END WITH THE NAGGING PAIN.THANKS

thanks dede for your help.im 29 by the way and im starting to think it is GB but it hurts mostly anytime not just with fatty meals.im just trying to avoid that HIDA SCAn...im a bit scared of docs and hospitals :(

It certainly could be your gall bladder. Do you have a lot of pain when you eat anything fatty? You don't say if you are 40 but in nursing school we learned typhically symptoms of gallstones is fat female and over forty. However I have a neice who was 17, 89 lbs and had gallstones. She would often have a problem eating and would vomit a couple times a day. I would think they would see your gallbladder if they did ultrasound but they also had a hard time diagnosing my neices problem. You should probably talk to a General surgeon about this problem. Don't avoid the Hida scan. I've seen patients diagnosed with gallstones where a conventional ultrasound had missed them or they were undetectable.
