Have You Had Your GallBaldder Removed Due To GallStones? What Does The Process Involve - I'm Nervous...?

I have never in my life had surgery or a "proceedure" done.
I have had 3 babies within 4 years but never had any problems, so i'm very nervous about this.
My doctor scheduled me at the hospital yesterday because for 5 weeks i've been having severe stomach pains and nausea and vomiting and was fearful of an ectopic. I had an ultrasound on all my organs (esp. since i have a liver disease too) and they found i have gallstones and i'll have to have my gallbladder removed...but that was all she said!
I won't speak to my doctor now till Monday but until then i have so many questions and am incredibly scared. My husband will have stay home with our 3 little girls and the thought of me being put to sleep terrifies me beyond what i could express on here. I need advice from someone who has been through this and understands and can answer these questions properly please.
What questions should i ask my doc.?
What's the recouperation process like?
How long does this procedure take?

Thank you so much in advance for any helpful responses.
My husband will be taking time off to help me with the kids since we have no other help. The stones aren't big at all, little under pea sized right now and they only counted 3 or 4......but they want it done a.s.a.p to end the discomfort and troubles i'm having attributed to this.

Thank ya'll, have a lovely day.

if ur having a laparoscopic surgery... procedure will last for about 1-2 hrs max... but that doesnt include the recovery period (wearing off of the anesthesia)
patients with laparoscopic gb removal usually has 3 small incisions (3cm)... one on th eright upper quadrant of ur abdomen.. on ur umbilical area and the right side of ur umbilicus... u may be discharged after 2 days if there are no complications :) possibly ul experice mild abd pain due to the carbon dioxide gas used to inflate the stomach... :)
if u have an open cholecystectomy.... usually there's a 6-9 cm incision on the right upper quadrant of ur abdomen... procedure will take up to 2 hrs and recovery time will be longer :)

Very simple process, I had it done last year.

It's usually done as outpatient surgery. You'll be anesthetized, 4 small incisions made for the implements, gall bladder removed. Home within a few hours. My doctor allowed me to return to work a week after the surgery with the provision I didn't lift anything. There was very little pain involved. My worst incision was the one at my belly button.

Hey in this day and age its so simple as its just key hole surgery minimil scaring lucky you.
Had mine out in the late 50s woooooooooooo that is a huge scar which I might add stretched with each child (3),luckily Im not the bikini type never was lol.
As for being put to sleep just think of it as a lovely sleep and it is bet you dont count to 93 b4 your out to it lol.
Daughter has it done last year she was horrified the heck out of her.
scaring lol nothing much to see

There is nothing to be worry. It will be very simple procedure. You will be perfect fine. You shouldn't be scary of it. You will not staying in the hospital and you will be outpatient surgery. Hoping you will be perfect fine after you had surgery.
