I'm concerned about the condition of my liver, would any problem been detected during hospital stay for labor? |
This is probably a weird question, but I've been really concerned about the state of my liver due to a recent emergency gallbladder removal surgery and since I was recently admitted to the hospital due to I was pregnant and going into labor, I was just wondering if the doctor's or nurses run any tests then that would have been able to pick up on any possible liver disease or problems. I mean becuase they did take blood samples from me & I'm assuming they were testing those samples to check for any health problems. Or am I wrong? What do they do with the blood samples they take during hospital stays due to labor? I know exactly why you are concerned!! I have been through a very similar situation. If you recieved good prenatal care then they did the tests. I know they checked mine when i was pregnant. why are you concerned about this, what makes you wonder if something is wrong with your liver..it would be up to your regular doctor, not your ob to be checking out that stuff..call your regular md...my opinion there are so many different tests for liver functions and such,if you are there because you are in labor any blook work would be related to that...checking clotting factor, red blood levels for anemia, white cells for infection |
