GERD treatment side effects? |
How long is considered long term GERD? I have been on and off suffering from GERD for about 5 months? My doctor prescribed me prevacid but now I have been feeling like food is stuck in my chest. I don't have any pain but could this be something more serious? Should I go back to my doctor? I am not a doctor, so either way you will want to talk to them, but this is what I have to say as a long time sufferer of Acid Reflux (G.E.R.D.)! I have dealt with GERD since 1996. It's not pleasant, so I completely understand your frustration. If your treatment isn't working and you are still having stomach/digestive discomfort, I would definitely see your doctor again. Also, make sure you aren't eating a lot of sweets/fatty foods/spicy foods/chocolate/coffee. These foods always bother me and feel like they just won't digest, specifically things like cake, brownies, cookies. Good luck. I understand your pain. |
