GERD Surgery? |
I was wondering if I could get testimonials from people who have received surgery for Acid Reflux/GERD? This can be the Fundoplication surgery, as well as the less-invasive laparoscopic surgery. I'm considering surgery to help with my GERD, as I've been suffering for over 10 years with this condition. My grandmother had the laparoscopic surgery for hiatal hernia and also to straighten out her esophagus. She had alot of pain in her chest for awhile but she is doing much better. It has been about 2 months since the surgery. She has just recently been able to start eating more solid food. As a result of having to be mostly on a liquid diet she has lost 30 lbs, which she is thrilled about. She no longer has to take medicine. I would certainly try it. I know that she also suffered for a long time. |
