Gas gerd anxiety chest arm pains?
Hi what does anxiety gas or GERD chest pains feel like also can you get nausea, diareeha teeth pain sharp last a few seconds sometimes in chin and arm hand pain left.I have had 3 different doctors all said gastric(gas, gerd, anxiety) even a nurse said sounds gastric 4 ekgs 2 chest xrays blood work I may have diabetes though and I am obese which I am trying to lose the weight.

severe heart burn in laymens terms. i have it so bad i have acid reflux. did they prescribe you anything for it? you can get good over the counter antacids for it if they didnt prescribe it. anxiety is another i have, they also give me meds for that and i am also diabetic, and yes meds again. but im doing alot better. i have so many medical problems its rediculous lol. but my diabetis is caused from the prednisone they gave me for copd flair they had to give me such high doses of it , that it caused diabetis. lol. just check back with your doctor and they will tell you what they think you should do to get all this under dcontrol. good luck. merry christmas.

Ah, as soon as you said obese......if you had all those tests and you aren't having a heart attack (but if you don't lose weight you probably WILL have a heart attack) then it's probably acid reflux/GERD. Losing the weight will also help your probable diabetes, too.

Never ignore any chest pain. You mention you may have diabetes and are obese, these are 2 great risk factors for heart disease. The only way to really know if you have heart disease is via cardiac cahterization, this allows for a direct view of the cardiac arteries. The fact that you have chin pain, teeth pain, left arm pain, points out to possibly be angina (lack of oxygen to the heart, but not a true heart attack). I would consider seeing a cardiologist.

Thats easy IBS with Gastric Reflux. Pain in teeth and arm... hmm sounds like you need a stress test, or cardiac ct and of course try to loose some weight.

could also be muscle pain if excersisng

Incompetence of the lower esophageal sphincter allows reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus, causing burning pain. Prolonged reflux may lead to esophagitis, stricture, and rarely metaplasia. Diagnosis is clinical, sometimes with endoscopy, with or without acid testing. Treatment involves lifestyle modification, acid suppression using proton pump inhibitors, and sometimes surgery.
Having more but smaller meals also reduces the risk of GERD, as it means there is less food in the stomach at any one time.
avoid eating for 2 hours before bedtime
avoid soft drinks
avoid chocolate and peppermint
avoid spicy foods
avoid acidic foods like oranges and tomatoes (however, they are okay when fresh.)
avoid cruciferous vegetables: onions, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, brussel sprouts
milk and milk-based products contain calcium and fat, so should be avoided before bedtime.
Please see the web pages for more details on GERD.
