Gerd ?? PLEASE HELP? |
I was diagnosed with Gerd about 2 years ago. I get severe stomach aches every month. Im currently taking Prevacid and Reglon AND IT DOESNT WORK . I Really can't take it anymore. I have GERD as well. Are you taking prescription strength prevacid and reglon? I used to take prevacid and worked okay for me. I've never heard of reglon. My suggestion would be to ask your doctor about taking nexium. It is a prescription strength antacid as well and it worked very well for me. I had to quit taking it, because my insurance company quit covering it due to all the over the counter antacids on the market (like prilosec - which I totally recommend if you want to do the over the counter route...it has worked better for me than any prescription med I ever took for GERD. You need to see your doctor and have them put you on something different. Having it for 2 years without any relief can be dangerous. See your doctor! If Reglan is not working ask your Dr. about Nexium and if your insurance doesnt cover that ask about Zegerid or Protonix. those work just as good. and as for the food it all depends on the person on what you should eat. |
