I've a condition named GERD + Duodenom Erosion + IBS. Recently my GERD is getting very bad

so that i have problem swallowing and severe Heartburn. I have used Omeprazole for 1.5 year

and still having problem. Is there any definite cure for this condition? Is surgery a cure?

Does surgery have bad complications or side effects. Thanks in advance

Sorry, you need to talk to your surgeon. He can tell you if the operation is appropriate for you. He will explain the complications and side effects associated with surgery and if it's an appropriate option. Best advice.

You definitely need to talk to your doctor. If you're still having heart burn after taking omeprazole it could mean that the medication is no longer working for you. There are always risks associated with any surgery so make sure to talk to your doctor, even get a second opinion, and ask all the questions you can possibly think of so you can make the best decision for yourself.
