usually its because you dont dry off after bathing especially feet

Because you were exposed to a fungus your body could not ward off.Take Olive Leaf. It is anti fungal, anti viral & anti bacterial.

Fungal infections are of several different types and as such can occur due to a variety of reasons.
Skin infections are common they are called Tenia, in the feet it is called tenia pedis or atheletes foot, it can occur on the scalp in the shaving area of men, crotch etc. caused by contact..not really much to it.
Nails are another common site....nails get yellow thickened flaky and deformed..this could be due to poor foot care..moisture etc.
Yeast or candida infections.. in wet parts of the body..under the breast of women...groin, vagina etc can occur due to diabetes, pregnancy, steroid treatments etc..
More serious infections ..pretty much any fungal infection other than on the outside is serious... occur for many reasons..
Mississippi valley is common for Histoplasma
San Juaquin, Ca is the hot spot for Coccidiomycosis another fungus.
BIrd droppings, Spelunking etc are known to be related to Histoplasma infections.
Exposure to water bodies, swamps, decaying wood etc. can cause blastomycosis..another common fungus.
Yeast in the food pipe or esophagus is a common first symptom for AIDS. So there are several reasons why people get fungal infections.....it depends on what fungus you are asking about and how invasive it is...

Fungal infections usually take hold in warm, sweaty environments like the feet. It is essential to wash feet everyday if possible.
