I have a mini daschund and she has fungal infection. Is there human medication to give to her?

My dog has been bleeding out of her nose and I have taken her to the vet almost every weekend. It seems as though there are no solutions, just more bills. Is there any human medication out there for fungal infections? I have read about Lotrimin/Clotrimazole, but does it work? Anyone have gone through this? Please help, need answers instead of paying out for nothing!

Try another vet (meaning another opinion). Don't try anything for humans without asking the vet. You can even call in and talk to an assistant at the vet's office about trying something new.

Many human medications are cross-used with dogs, but there are many that are toxic, as dog and human livers are different. Antifungals can be associated with severe reactions in humans. I am sorry that you are not getting any answers from your current vet, but perhaps the answer is to go to another vet, or to go to a veterinary school clinic, which may have better facilities for diagnosis. Also, you need to be specific with antifungals, as those used to treat candida do not kill other organisms like aspergillus. Tailor the medication to the disease.
