Can probiotics cause fungal infection?

Can probiotics cause fungal infection such as vaginitis, i know it can prevent but in some rare instances can it cause as i think it could be happening with me.

I was Rx probiotics by my acupuncturist to cure the imbalances in my gut from long term anti-biotic use. Can't see how they'd cause vaginitis. See your OB Gyn.

Probiotics will only be really effective if they are the right kind and made with enough active micro-organisms though

You might consider the fact that yeasts thrive on sugars so you should cut right back on any sugary foods, reduce or stop taking sugar in beverages, and cut out sweets, cakes etc.
Sugars cause your blood to become more acidic, and if you change your diet to include alkalizing foods like plenty of green, fresh (whenever possible raw) veges; and make sure you keep well hydrated (this means 2 to 3 liters of clean quality mineral water steadily through each day)...You should see a turn around in your condition.

There is more you can do to alkalize and improve your well being by making better diet choices and this will immensely improve your overall health & wellbeing.
