Fungal Infection...Need Help? |
I have a fungal infection from my chin down to my hips and some on my face. I went to my doctor and he gave me an antifungal creme but it didnt work. I made another appointment but its not for 3 weeks and Im out of medicine. I tried Tenactin and Gold Bond but I can't tell if its making a difference. Any advice would be great as I can't go to work or hold my daughter. Please help. Did he put you on any antibiotics ?? He is only treating the symptoms with creams, he needs to treat what is causing the infection as well !! find a different doctor and go now. thats the only thing i can really tell you. Go to Wal-Mart and buy their Equate Anti-fungal Cream. It contains Clotrimazole 1%. A 2 oz. tube will cost about $5. Use it every day for 3 weeks. Should take care of the problem. Your medication from the doctor didn't take. Another dose of this should show some improvement. If not, see a dermatologist. It could be something else. Ouch! I recently got a fungal infection from the gym and know that you must be miserable. I wound up using Walgreens store brand for athletes foot. If an anti fungal cream, or what the doctor gave you isn't working for you, you really should get back into the doctor and let them know. Sometimes skin irritations can be a little tricky and need more attention to get to the bottom of it. I would really suggest calling a dermatologist instead of your PA and making an appointment.
