i just want to know that my friend who is suffering from cancer and now she got fungal infection in her lungs and doc r saying that blood is not circulating to her heart and they have put the oxygen machine and she can't talk now. can anyone please explain that is this very serious conditon. pls pls pls answer. we all r very worried about her and she is also very nervous. she says that u r hiding things from me and she is scared that she got the lung cancer. is there possiblity that if person is suffering from fungal infection he/she can also get lung cancer. You cannot get lung cancer from a fungal infection. However, you can get fungal infections if you have cancer, because fungus is often what is called an "opportunistic" infection, setting in much more easily when one's immune system is down, like when you have cancer. If your friend has a fungal infection in her lungs, that is indeed serious, and she is likely being treated with intravenous antifungal medicines. But it sounds like that is only one aspect of how serious her condition is. Just be there to support her as much as possible - I'm sure the doctors are doing everything they can. I wish you and her the best. Sweetie, not one person on this forum can answer this question. We are not doctors. You need to contact her oncologist (cancer doctor) and request a meeting with all concerned family members. If your friend really wants to know what's going on, take a digital tape recorder, tape the entire meeting, and replay the whole conversation for her. Pray for her. No. That it is not a magical solution, but fungus thrives on what is dying. |
