Ok to use anti fungal creams on what I think might be an anal fungus infection? |
This is rather embarrassing but I have had an itchy anus for a while now. I have been dabbing sudacream onto it with a cotton bud but it hasn't really helped. I have a feeling it might be a fungal infection although I haven't been to the doctors about it. I have some anti fungal cream and was just wondering if it would be ok to use, even though I am not 100% sure what the problem is. I just want to know basically if it will harm me if that isn't the problem. Thanks. You dont really want to use an antifungla cream if you dont have a fungal infection. However if you are just applying the cream topically it should not have any systemic effects therefore you can try it. I would advise you to go see a doctor. Trust me doctors see these things all the time and you dont want to live with an itchy anus forever. Better not to use that cream in that location. I really think that it is fine. this is a very common area for yeast/fungus to grow because it is warm and moist. if otc clotrimazole does not help, then see a doctor You need to wash your butt man....you know soap and water not just 2 wipes. That's why you itch. |
