How do i know if an ear infection is fungal or bacterial? |
I have had a nasty ear infection in my right ear for about a month. I have tried everything from grapefruit seed extract to tea tree oil and hydrogen peroxide but it has only helped. But now i notice a bad smell when i put my finger in my ear. I dont want to see a doctor because they always got it wrong with my sister's ear infections (she had reacurring ones for years) I don't think anyone makes a home test to find out if you have an infection, fungal or otherwise in your ear. But since even the slightest infection could cause permanant damage or hearing loss, I would suggest that you see a doctor. I'm going to go out on a limb on this one... see a doctor !!! NOW It could be just a bacterial ear infection...if peroxide hasn't helped by now, you're gonna have to get to the doctor; especially if you have an odor...could progress to pus-like oozing if you don't get it treated. hey dude. Its best to check out a doc n see what he saes. It may turn out to be a serious infecton. By the way, does pus ooze out from ur ears?If the pus is causng the smell, its serious. see a doctor Very simple: ask your Doctor |
