Does a fungal nail infection hurt?

I amnot sure what is wrong with my toe nail as it has changed colour become brittle lokos like it is breaking off and tender to the touch and aches. is this a fungal nail infection or something else?

Sounds like you do have a fungal nail infection. Its called tinea unguium and causes the nail to become thickened, crumbly and to change colour. You can get a treatment from your chemist called Loceryl nail lacquer, which you paint on the nail to kill the fungus. However, it can take months to work. You can also visit your GP and be prescribed Lamasil tablets, which work more quickly. Good luck

its not too bad buy it hurts a bit i should know i have had it before.

Sounds like something else, like Brittle Nails.
