Compressed Aircan exposure to finger...frostbite?

I had initially tried a home remedy of cryotherapy in removing this small wart I have on the middle of my finger. The proper method is to apply to a q-tip then apply q-tip to the area. Note I'm doing this in conjunction with a salicylic acid treatment.

QUESTION: About 3 days ago, I didn't have any q-tips and tried direct application, dumb move The skin of the wart was of course unharmed, yet the droplets and spray of the can affected the area near the spot. I don't recall applying much warm water afterwards, and I went to bed. Woke up with this coloring near the spot.

It's not black like traditional frostbite (based it off of results of frostbite on google images.) It's more of a dark brown and it is certainly not numb at the moment. It hurts to touch/rub meaning it IS alive right? It's hard to keep track of but I THINK it has been receding. I'm a bit worried though, what's the worst that can happen? How much exposure is needed to do some serious harm? I'll try and get pics if poss

It certainly could be frostbite, and it sounds like it may have been a pretty significant injury. Any darkening of your skin like that may mean it is not getting blood supply and may die. Left untreated it could lead to infection and compromise of the digit. You should probably have a doctor take a look at this right away.
