Can frostbite cause permanent nerve damage?

my sister got a little bit of frostbite on her finger yesterday and is still complaining that it hurts. How much longer will it cause her pain?

Depending on the severity she should be just fine. Frostbite is a little like a burn it can hurt for a couple days to maybe even a week.

it depends on how long the frost bite was on ,but, yes

Absolutely. Freezing temperatures kills nerves and tissues. That's why you see people with missing fingers, noses, toes etc after being stuck in the mountains.
As long as her finger isn't discolored (or black) she will be fine. Just give it time.
