What would cause the burning feeling of frostbite or athletes foot when neither can be possible? |
The last three weeks I have been suffering from very strange sensations of frostbite, the feeling of no circulation, nearly identical to athlete鈥檚 foot - in the balls and toes and top of my feet. Symptoms began when usually before bed; now they are occurring during the day and eves. I have recently had a blood sugar test that comes back VERY good. I'm positive it's not frost bite because I'm not in the cold. I'm certain I don't have athletes foot, either. The only other way I can describe the feeling is having your foot in a shoe 4 times too small. It's getting pretty tough to deal with. I'm 40 years old and a male and have never dealt with some like this. What could it be? If the feeling is localized to the bottom of your foot I would suspect plantar fasciitis. If the whole food below the ankle is involved it kind of sounds like it might be a neuropathy or inflammation of the nerves leading to your foot. Since diabetes is not a consideration in you there are many other things that could be considered. A foot exam either by a podiatrist or general provider would give a good indication of the problem. This could be confirmed by a specialized test called an EMG and then the cause for the problem would have to be sought and treated. Perhaps look into the possibility of poor blood circulation, side effect from a medication , or an allergic reaction Hi, |
