Helping a rooster get over bad frostbite on feet? |
I found one of my roosters just lying on the group in a very cold coop this morning (due to equipment issues it was colder than should have been) Everyone else was fine because they huddled together but he didn't join so he has bad frostbite on his feet. After 11 hours inside his feet still feel rather cold, and raw, red, and swollen, and the toes are black. He won't get up, he's been lying on his side. I can get him to drink a little, but mostly he just lies and sleeps. Warmth Maybe A Heater In The Room, Blankets To Lie On, Water Supply And Food In Distance, Dont Let Her Walk Much Keep Her Occupied And Make Her Environment As Natural As Possoble. |
