Frostbite question?

I was dumb enough not to wear gloves while pushing the metal part of an air compressor into my tire in Bismarck, North Dakota yesterday morning. It didn't hurt, but I noticed shortly after that I felt nothing in my thumb. Now it hurts a bit, and I have a dime-sized discoloration on that thumb.

Will it heal? Is there something I should do now that it's almost 48 hours later?

Better go see a doctor. It might have internal injury.

Don't worry its just the blot clot in your thumb... :) It will just heal.

Go to the doctor. Unless it was prolonged exposure it wouldn't be frost bite, but it could be a severe case of frost nip.

There is nothing you can do now. You should have slowly warmed your thumb up when you first noticed. It will heal; I have had worse frostbite.
