What does frostbite look like?

both serious and unserious.

kinda greyish if it's really bad it blackish when it thaws it becomes red and hurts http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/first-a... I had a little bit on my foot once when it was 39 below. if you want to know what some bad frostbite looks like Google "frostbite" Images. I guess I got lucky. Mine was only a mild case.

i am not sure but it probably looks gross and disgusting!

Your skin turns green and I think it makes your body parts get amputated.

I think white, then turns black as it rots.

Oh and ??????????????????????????/
I googled frostbite images and got nothin, mostly pictures of GIJoe or some gay toys

black I think

it gets like black and blue and if you have it for a while that part of your body can fall off.

I guess it would look cold.

Well, I only know how it looks from your fingers. Your fingers are dark purple, and a little swollen.

it makes the body part that u got frostbitten on swell up!!maybe 2 or more times the size!!

I think that your extremities become swollen and mabye blue to start with. I know that when there's no hope your extremities turn black because the cells have died and then they need to be removed to stop your body being poisoned. That's only extreme cases though. I think it's something like that

It's deep purple or black!

It's a burning sensation when it's just starting and you are inside. As a child I used to play outside for as long as I could and then always have red swollen, toes and fingers that would just sting. Serious frostbite kills body tissue and it will appear black with a white centre. Limbs have to be cut off when severe frostbite happens.

Depends on the severity. In my experience it turns white first and then really red, and then purple and then black. Normally it just turns white and then red and blisters some.

Frostbite is characterized by white, waxy skin that feels numb and hard. It requires immediate emergency medical attention.

Frostbite is distinguishable by the hard, pale, and cold quality of the skin that has been exposed to the cold for a length of time. The area is likely to lack sensitivity to touch, although there may be an aching pain. As the area thaws, the flesh becomes red and very painful

If you want to see pictures you can do a image search on google
