Is it true that compressed air can give you frostbite when sprayed on skin? |
Just curious. Yes. When it expands, the air gets much colder, and the combination of cold air and high velocity can cause frostbite. Yes. I hope u werent asking cause u wanted to do it lol Yes, and just to warn you if you know of any young kids - many teens are inhaling the stuff to get a quick high - some of them die because it freezes their lungs. Yes. I use those compressed air cans to dust off my computer keyboard. I was curious one day and turned the can upside down and sprayed it on my leg to see how cold it really gets. I have a permanent scar now. It gets very cold, trust me. If you hold it there long enough. Have you ever blown up a pool float? feel how cold it is when your done. |
