Are my hands frostbitten? |
I was outside for quite a while with wet hands (They were wet from snow). Once I got home I tried to warm up my hands and they were mostly fine except for the tips of my fingers. They were tingly. It has now been 12 hours and my ring and pinky finger tips on both hands are still tingly. Were/Are my fingers frostbitten? Will the tingliness go away, and if so, how soon? You may have a wee bit of minor frost bite. If the skin were white and hard... it would be more of a concern. The tingling may stop in a few minutes or even a few weeks. It sounds like superficial frostbite but unless you had freezing or its over a large part of the body then there is nothing that can be or needs to be done. |
