Does the penis contain growth plates? If one fractures his erect penis before puberty would it stunt itsgrowth |
Ok so you may ask,"Define "fracture"." Fracture - would be the bending of the erect penis to the point of a "cracking sound," which as a result later develops into curvature of the penis(peyronies) and mild erectile dysfunction. Not to be rude but please don't post here if you don't know what you're talking about.. There is nothing to fracture seeing as a penis does not contain bone therefore there is no growth plates. This might help you. See a urologist they can tell you the facts It is indeed possible to fracture your penis. You can crack the cavernous columns of the penis that fill with blood with an erection. However, if this did happen, you would have had to run to the emergency room to avoid any permanent penile damage. I'm sure that your doctor at the time would have told you about any permanant complications (such as the issue you are worrying about now). The penis does not contain a bone (every other primate has one), and therefore doesn't contain prototypical growth plates that are at the lateral ends of bones. The average age that penile growth ends is at around 15 years old, so you fall within normal range. Penis growth doesn't necessarily match an increase in height either. |
