What is the majority of pelvic fractures caused by? Young people - accidents Osteoporosis and falling. Or falling with osteoporosis. Old ladies don't break their hip/pelvis because they fell. They did it because they fell with osteoporosis i know a lot of women in the military since it is measured to a mans step and women have to repeatedly they have to do everything with the same stride and their bodies cant take it sometimes and the bones start to fracture The cause of a fractured pelvis is most often trauma...so car accidents, skiing accidents etc. If a person (men and women) have osteoporosis and are elderly they easily fracture their pelvis's on falling or trauma. |
