Who told you that it was stress fractures?

You should see a doctor.

If you are unable to perform your duties for an extended period of time.. then you CAN be med boarded...

If your command thinks that you have an essential job (besides the physical portion) then they CAN exempt you from the med board for about 2 years maximum.. but it requires a LOT of paperwork and they are not likely to do it.

Sure you can but is it worth it? My daughter has a metal rod in her leg and got stress fractures in the other leg from the demands of boot camp. She was almost discharged but I made a call to the Base Commander and she was evaluated and it was decided that she would WALK for her PT test instead of running and of course qualify for the other requirements. She went to her permanent duty station with a limited duty waiver and she's doing fine. It's up to you if you want to get out. The doctor can either approve you based on HIS findings or you could prove your case and make them discharge you if that's what you want.
