Broke AND bipolar? |
Hi- Talk to someone in your state health department. You may be eligible for Medicaid. check out your local health department or department of human services. they have lots of programs and insurance assistance that you can qualify for that will cover the cost of your medication or treatment. call your state social services. I was in the same situation. I quit my job, filed for Social Security Disability, and went into homeless shelters until my SSDI was approved 3 years later. You have to have medical records with your diagnosis on them. And you can hire an attorney for no money down to help you with your claim. I got $45,000 backpay for 3 years, bought a house and I get enough money monthly to live a quiet country life. If no doctor will see you for lack of money, go to the emergency room for help. They can at least write down the diagnosis and you will have some medical records to work with. Good Luck! Hi you could see if your doctor can give you free samples until you get back on your feet. also try the NAMI web site they are very good and well known for helping people find what they need. check with your local health department and if there is an adult social services try them as well. |
