Indiana adult foster home?

Im looking for mentally disable to care for in my home. I have work in mental health for many years. I love to help provide a very fun inviroment with lots of activities, out in the community and a large family.

No, it doesn't work that way. You have to be licensed to provide care for the disabled. No matter what their disability is. And you couldn't provide care for them in your home--even if you got a license. The facility that they live in has to be licensed, too. You have to have a degree--usually a nurse--before you can become licensed.

I understand that you like to help people, but there are other ways to help. You can check with your local nursing home and find out how you can volunteer.
