Does anyone know of a free support group for a child suffering from attachment disorder?

My 4 year old daughter is currently in foster care. I have a court hearing on Monday if I get her back I dont know what Im going to do she suffers from attachment disorder due to 4 surguries before age 3 severe asthma problems and her dad left to be an over the road truck driver when she was one. Another possible reason would be my maternal depression which recently resulted in hospitalization. She already is in thearapy which is helping but I NEED some support from people going through the same kind of problems. I have no family around and very few friends. My husband and I are currently seperated and I also have two other children boy age 8 and girl age 2 the boy is ADHD an the baby age 2 has a major speech delay . I have no income and I am a full time student I desperatley need some help.

You desperately need to leave those babies in care until you get your act together and get a good job so you can support them. Its good that you want them, but think about them for a minute, and you will realize that right now, they are better in foster care with you visiting them as often as possible. If you are unable to afford the meds your adhd child needs and the therapies your other children do, you are doing them no good at all. at least now, the state is paying for their meds and care. And while you are at it, go to court and get alimony and child support from the deadbeat sperm donor.

Look into your local Mental Health Association. They're a national organization and a lot of times they have child outreach programs. Also look into any mental health organizations in your area, they provide respite care to a lot of children which is not only a positive influence for your child, but is designed to give the parents a break. Plus most of these programs are funded through medicade and they use the child as the person registering so there will be no fee to the parent. In other words these are free services. Hope it helps!!
