Does anybody know what this is (foot injury)????? |
I pulled a ligament in my right foot in January. After staying off it as much as possible for two weeks, the injury got a little better. However, I got to a point where it stopped getting better, but wasn't getting worse either... Now, when I walk or step a certain way, it hurts. Sometimes, even when I walk normally, I feel a "popping" sensation in my foot under the bone that's on the (out)side of my foot. According to xrays, nothing was broken, so the doctor assumed it was a pulled ligament. Six months later, I'm starting to question whether or not that was the problem to begin with.......... Foot and ankle emergencies happen every day. Broken bones, dislocations, sprains, contusions, infections, and other serious injuries can occur at any time. Early attention is vitally important. Whenever you sustain a foot or ankle injury, you should seek immediate treatment from a podiatric physician. Sounds to me like it didn't heal right? Tarpal tunnel maybe.... You have many little bones in your feet as well as you hands..they can be shoved out of place and cause pain to tendons and ligaments...they will not show up on xrays must usually, to cause alarm to the radiologists...they don't have to move much to cause pain...say 1/36 to 1/8 of an inch...that's a lot in 'bone land'...I take my feet and the rest of me to a very well used chiropractor...if you don't know of one..ask around...find one that takes xray's before he makes adjustments..they are the best well trained..keep the sore area on ice..keep the ice on the area past the 'pain' phase (brain burn) in or for the ice to do it's best work....this should eliminate the problem...I have several bones that slip out now and then...and a visit to the bone doctor does the trick every time...good luck! sound like you worn the ligament in your foot check a foot specialist. |
