Foot injury??

Can someone explain possibly what kind of diagnois i have??? My left ankle has been killing me since yesterday. It hurts for like 3 hours then stops for like an hour then hurts for like 3 hours and stops for like an hour and so on and so on. I seriously cannot wonder why this is happening. My dad says it is a muscle sore. I dont know tho. I am in colorguard and I am thinking that possibly i pulled something while marching. Someone please help me out!!!

I have done all of the steps for R.I.C.E...i have been resting for the whole day i have only left the couch twice. I have iced it i did that last night.. I just compressed it about 2 hours ago and I am elevating right now. My dad and mom are like so not pain orinated with me.... like they never want to take me to the doctor. I broke my arm like 3 years ago...and my mom didnt even take me to teh ER but my dad did. I think my dad is gonna wait until at least another day to see waht happens. I am hurting so much tho. Keep teh advice going thanks!!!!!

Sounds like you have sprained something, can you remember a specific injury?

The tendons in your ankle are particularly delicate if you have gone over on it.

You are doing the right thing by resting, icing, take anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen and just continue this.

Muscle/tendon damage takes a while to heal, espcially somewhere that is used so often.

Take it easy for a while but if you are still worried go and get an x-ray

u prob pulled or twisted something just use R.I.C.E. rest, ice, compress, elevate. Good luck!! <333

Could be a bone spur.. You should call your doctor and get refered to an orthopedic doctor.

It could be any number of things depending on exactly where the pain is. Most likely would be a sprain basically a torn or stretched muscle or ligament. My parents where the same. Since they didn't take me to the Dr's I came off crutches too soon and ended up with a weak ankle. Last year I needed surgery to tighten the ligament just so I could walk normally without turning it. No pain no gain is the most unhealthy and dangerous statement I have ever heard.
