Burning sensation in arch of foot...?

For a couple of days, I have have been getting this sparatic "burning" sensation in the arch of my right foot. No injury or rash. It's not exactly painful, a little uncomfortable, odd-feeling more than anything else. It feels as if I have stepped in something warm. It's getting more and more frequent and "hotter". Any ideas?

I keep my feet very clean, thank you...

I am on no daily medication

I'm not a diebetic

I am slim/ average weight

And, my shoes are definitely the right size... not too small... no high heels...

maybe its gout

OOOOOOO YOU NEED TO CLEAN YOUR STANKY FEET !!!!!

Is right shoe to small?

Your arches are breaking down.Burns a feels like walking on rocks even on a carpeted floor.

Plantar Faciitis is something not to mess with.

Do you wear orthotics? See a GOOD podiatrist.

Symptoms:
* burning sensation
* heel pain
* worse in the morning
* gets worse over time

Causes (one or more of the following):
* unsupportive shoes
* flat feet
* tight calves
* achillies tendon issues
* too much too soon walking or running
* sudden weight gain
* worn out sneakers (they still look good, but have lost their support and cushioning)

Treatment (all of the following):
* ibuprofin
* roll foot on golf ball whenever possible. sitting at desk at work/school. at home.
* Ice each evening. roll on can of frozen juice.
* stretch calves
* stretch achillies tendon
* stretch hamstrings
* rest foot. that means cut down on walkin, eliminate runnning for a few weeks.
* wear a Strassberg Sock at night http://www.thesock.com/ ($35 to $45) really uncomfortable, but it works.
* wear new sneakers and forget style for a while. Asics 2100 are about $70 and worth twice as much.
* orthotics/new orthotics ($400) I found some VERY GOOD over the counter sport orthoics made by Birkenstock for about $80. If you can't afford the podiatrist, spend the money on the Birks. I have tried many brands, these are most like the $400 custom made ones.

* don't get out of bed onto a cold floor barefoot. Have some slippers or sneakers with an arch insert for that by your bed.

This isn't something to mess with. It is the worst of the running injuries to get rid of. You don't even need to be a runner to get it.
It can lay a fit athlete up for 6 to 8 months or more if you let it get away from you.

It took me over two years to finally not notice it. Treat it aggressively and immediately. Sounds like it is just warning you. Good thing you are listening.
