Top of Foot Hurts- no known injury? |
I was in Las Vegas on 8/12 and did a lot of walking- approx 2-3 hours in flip flops. I have done this many many times beofre and had no problems. About half way through the day the top of my left foot was hurting so bad it was bringing tears to my eyes. It is not a muscle type pain more of a ligament or bone type pain. It has been 5 days since & it still really hurts when I walk on it or twist my foot in a circle. I didn't trip or twist it or anything...Could I have broken a bone just by walking too much? If not, what could it be? I was trying to wait to see if it just went away on its own before I pay for a doctor, but 5 days later it's not any better than it was... Yes, get it checked by a doctor first. If they don't find any broken bones, you might consider improving the alignment in your feet and legs by seeing a practitioner of Hellerwork or Rolfing. Even a session or two could make a big difference. you should go to the doctor Normally I would think a sprain or a strain if you can walk on it. What is possible is that you developed a stress fracture, if this is the case then the worst thing you can do is leave it as it may heal the wrong way and have to be re-broken. |
