Mystery foot pain? |
For the past 3 weeks I have severe (right foot) pain. No injury. No problem with shoes. Most of the pain in on instep or outer side of foot. Pain wakes me in the middle of the night and is progressive. I have severe limp now. No pain on palpation??? I never 'met' a foot that I couldn't elicit 'some pain' on palpation. If truly no pain, no mechanical dysfunction (e.g. subluxation/fixations or mysofascial trigger points, etc.), no vascular problem, etc., then it may be time to think neurological problems. Possibly a peripheral neuropathy originating in the foot, lower leg or spine. What about bone spurs? My husband had those and cortisone helped. Seek medical attention Wow, just a guess...plantar's wart. Try to look in the spine area for maybe a pinched nerve or just maybe a alignment needs to be done. Sounds like a stress fracture to me. ive have had them before and they take a long long time to heal. It might not show up necessarily on the x-ray or MRI. They are tiny hair line fractures that occur just because you may have done really nothing. It just sometimes happens when you don't think you did anything to provoke it. Just don't do anything to keep the injury sustained and don't do sports. It will heal but it takes a long time. Good Luck. |
