How far can you fall while landing straight on your feet without sustaining any injuries to your legs?

Basically how far can you fall landing straight on your feet without getting injured? Just landing straight on your feet and not landing on a twisted knee or ankle. I've herd you can bend your knees or put your hands down to cushion your fall some. I thought of the question while watching some free-running and parkour videos. It seems like they fall pretty far sometimes and don't seem to get hurt.

most of the jump are with forward momenttum to, the jump from buildind to building, the bedn their knees and like above me, go into shoulder roll,etc...

itys pretty easy once you know how to do it, but dont do it right away, work yourself up from 4 ft-6ft (brick walls ) to 8-11 ft(1 storu house roofs), and then like 12-20, i say 50 ft is the absolute maximum

Many traceurs (free-runners/parkour guys) are known to jump from over a story in height. You wouldn't want to go much higher than this. As long as you bend your knees as soon as you hit the ground, and go into a shoulder roll, you should be ok. The key is to distribute your falling momentum forwards. Don't get too crazy! Be careful, my friend!

In terms of life and death, no. Unfortunately that doesn't make it hurt any less, or make it easier to live with. But hang in there, in around 4-6 weeks you'll be back on your feet.
