Are the benefits of bare foot waliking on sand clinically documented?

It is a common feeling that walking barfe foot on sand is good for health, in particular for the knee and the back. But I am looking for clinical trials done to support it.

I'm not too sure about any benefits.

I believe walking on soft sand too much can cause achilles tendonitis. As you step on normal hard ground, your heel plants then you push off your toes. Walking on soft sand causes the heel to sink well below the level of your toes causing the achilles tendon to stretch, much like walking uphill constantly. If this happens too much the achilles tendon can become enflamed and sore. This can eventually lead to achilles tendonitis.

never heard such a thing but definatly it is good to get the sand between your toes

Actually, there are reports against it stating that constant walking on the sand and especially running/jogging is bad for the joints. This is due to slopes in the sand and inconsistencies in the texture of sand (hard/soft).

It depends on how far you walik

Not too sure about walking on sands but walking on pebbles is definitely good for health because in accordance to Chinese Medical doctors, they have mentioned that our foot has vital points that lead to our body.

It's probably good for you unless you have open wounds on your feet, even peeling sunburn, because bacteria can get inside then and they can get infected.
