Shingle on foot? |
I recently got a cluster of dark pox like blisters on my foot - along a nerve line. They seems to spread across it. The doc was mystified. After some debate he attributed it to Shingles. It shouldn't happen on my feet and I'm too young for that "Old person" disease. Age has nothing to do with shingles, and they can appear anywhere there are sensory nerves. Shingles usually aren't very difficult to diagnose - they occur on one side of the body along a nerve path, and they are extremely uncomfortable at first, then become extremely painful. I have had shingles pop up occasionally since I was 25. Yes, it can happen to anyone. I had it at the age of 5...about 6 months after having chicken pox. I've recently had a 39 year old and a 36 year old come to the clinic for physical therapy and they happened to have had it (doctor missed it and it was the cause of their back pain) |
