Can you get health insurance while in hopsital and have the expenses covered?

My fiance is in the hospital, and has no health insurance... is there a place when i can apply for insurance and have them pay for whatever he needs in the hospital now? he has been there since 6am... i think he fractured his foot.. but no telling yet.. i havent heard anything else since that...
im worried about the medical bill, is there an insurance co. that you know of that i can sign him up for now and still get him covered????

Probably not, it takes WEEKS for an insurance company to review your paper work and decide if they want to issue you a policy.

I would talk to the hospital sometimes they offer discounts if you don't have insurance or contact medicaid, i don't know how it all works but I read somewhere that they will help if you cant afford your medical bills and you don't make a whole lot of money.

Usually policies will not cover treatment for conditions pre-existing the policy's issuance.
