Has anyone experienced a sudden and frequently occuring warm sensation on bottom of your foot?

I am a very healthy 30 year old female. I am 110 lbs and 5'3. I have no health problems but have been experiencing a feeling on the bottom/side of my foot that feels like it touched a very warm washcloth or something. It happens about 3 times an hour. It doesn't hurt at all , nothing is swollen or even warm to the touch, it is just irritating. If anyone else ever had this happen to them I would like to know what you did for it to stop.
Instead of seeing a podatrist, I thought I would get some opinions. If you are trying to be funny and write some ignorant comment, I will report it. To all helpful people, this would be greatly appreciated.

If it helps any your not the only one who has
had this warming sensation. This is what I
was told: Sometimes
the problem is in your back around L5/s1. Its
an area of nerves which may have some
degeneration. Sometimes this will fix itself so
its just a matter of waiting it out.

Also:
If the sensation doesn't move around from one
location to another its a potential blood clot.
Not saying it is a blood clot but it could be.

The above forum has men & women posting
though it says its a men's forum.
Naturally you need to see your Dr.
as only he/she can say for sure
whats going on.
Hope this helps some

its happened 2 me...

MAinly because of the shoes i wear though

Yes, actually that has happened to me before. What usually happens more often to me is I feel like something is touching it or brushing up against it. I wonder if it has to be a querk with the nerves?

Sounds like a form of diabetic neuropathy, though only your doctor can make that diagnosis. I would make an appointment with your physician and tell him all you told me here.

You may be feeling dysesthesias (dys = bad or painful; esthesia = sensation) due to neuropathy.

Read a good general article about peripheral polyneuropathy (peripheral = away from the center; poly = many; neuro = nerve; pathy = disease) at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuropathy.

This doesn't mean you have a disease. Neuropathy may be idiopathic (no known cause).

You may also want to do some independent reading about peripheral neuropathy. As you are healthy, you may have no cause for concern. If there is no detectable underlying disease, a podiatrist will probably tell you to wear proper shoes and avoid standing for long periods of time.
