I think i'm anorexic?? |
Hey guys, you arent dieting in the right way. i am only 14 and i know that seems young but i had anorexia with i was just 12 and 13 it seemed right then but now i know it wasnt. if you want to loose weight then eat healthy food and work out. starving your self will just hurt you in the long run. it will slow your metabolism so all of the food you do eat is stored as fat in your body. eating healthy is the best thing you can do. i know im young but i will talk to you anytime you need someone, i know what its like and i know its hard. Eating only once a day and sometimes not at all is not the best way to go. Eat five small meals and exercise and you will lose the weight and be healthier overall. The fact that you feel guilty after you eat is indicative of a disorder and you need to monitor this very carefully. Yes...it seems like you do have an eating disorder. Try talking with someone about this....and know you are NOT alone. Your parents and friends will always listen to you. Show them this letter that you wrote. They may suggest seeing an eating disorder specialist. please see a psychologist or your general doctor. there are strong warning signs in your question above that indicate a serious life threatning eating disorder. for example "i get so hungry that i could cry sometimes but tell myself that it's my own fault an i need to get thinner" and also " i feel guilty after i have eaten and get very depressed " You also have a strong family history of mental illness so that means you are more high risk. please get help before you destroy yourself. You must get help from a dr, a physicyitrist ASAP and to your primary dr. to make sure you have damaged any of your body parts, esp. your kidneys. You do have a disorder, so it sounds, and you are in denial. How can you say you don't when you are staving for food so bad that you cry but won't eat. You do have a major eating disorder do you realize that you cant go without eating for the rest of your life to stay skinny? Your trying to be skinny by not eating but you will die. You need to get help, and learn how to eat healthy. You need to talk to some one a specialist in anorexia, and bulimia.! If you are not eating right you arent losing fat you are losing muscle and bone..wich can lead to fractures and will make it easy for you to break your bones...you arent getting healthy your malnourishing your body and making it worse..You should eat t least 2-3 times a day! I have your same problem.Eating once a day is how it begins and then it grows to just a little snack and then not eating at all. I've been fighting with my anorexia for about 3 years and i didn't know i had it for the first 2.The best thing to do is pray that God will help you through it and then seek help in any way or form and then you will need to start eating little things more. |
