What's the best way to GAIN weight?

I'm underweight. Way underweight. As in five foot eight and only one hundred pounds underweight. But I'm healthy, I've been checked out by my doctor top to bottom and there's nothing wrong with me! (well, nothing skinny related anyway, I do have a rather nasty spinal deformity, ADHD, GERD, and a few sleep disorders).

So anyway, how can a person like me gain *healthy* weight?

I'd love to gain 10 pounds...

I would increase the number of meals you eat per day to four or five smaller meals. It would be best to incorporate foods consisting of healthy fats that contain omega-3 essential fatty acids...like tuna & salmon. I would eat more proteins...like nuts, lean meats and legumes...peanut butter is also rich in calories and good for you. Perhaps in between meals, drink high calorie drinks like Boost as a snack.

Lifting weights will increase muscle mass. Any kind of resistance training over aerobic excercise would be more beneficial for you if you are physically able to do so comfortably.

I'd also take a multi vitamin to ensure that you were getting all those great vitamins that keep your body healthy and metabolism working right.

Hope these suggestions help.

Good luck to you!

lift heavy weights ,eat well. it may also help some of those other problems

just eat whenever u want
like when you're bored! :]

Just binge eat and never exercise.
