keep in mind im really skinny and thats what everyone tells me im 5 foot 0 inches im 12 years old and i weigh 90 pounds. i am obsessed with food though i have certain rules for myself like i keep a calorie notebook to make sure i only have 2,000 or LESS calories per day i HATE going out for dinner because of todays america i only eat foods that i think have proper nutrition i eat when im bored and the only time i dont think about food is when im out of the house but im only 12 so i cant drive anywhere and when im upset or pissed of stressed out or happy or ANY other emotion other than bored i WILL NOT EAT!!!! im also OBSESSED with being skinny so im afraid to stop i also work out alot and im a runner :) but does this sound like an eating disorder??and if you need any more information jst ask and ill post it im terrified of gaining weight i always try to lose weight and ive weighed 90 for about 2 years and ive gotten taller by about 2 inches it is quite normal for women to naturally restrict calories for fear of weight gain, more do than don't but most just aren't successful at it due to lack of regular exercise. if you are consuming sufficient calories and healthy foods I don't see a problem with what you are doing. It does sound like you put on too much emphasis on how many calories you take in and about body image... Its okay to think that proper nutrition is good but you cant avoid eating. Becareful about your obessession. It can turn into an eating disorder. Also, puberty tends to put more weight on girls... so just watch out because its part of being female. Don't be afraid of gaining some weight. i dont think so, you just want to stay fit and healthy. its great to be health conscious, especially these days as teenage obesity is becoming an epidemic in america... however, you are 12 years old. your metabolism is faster than it will ever be. youve got nothing to worry about, especially if you run and exercise regularly. again, its great to watch what youre eating. but enjoy life! have pizza with your friends. going out to eat with family can be the highlight of a busy or stressful week. im a personal trainer and was anorexic throughout college. i missed out on some of the greatest experiences of my life because of my obsession with being thin. keep track of what youre eating if it makes you feel better, but dont let yourself get so caught up in the numbers... go have some fun! |
