Growth disorder undiagnosed? |
I am 21 and am 5 feet tall, I don't look like an adult, and only weigh 83 pounds. I can't seem to gain weight to make the Dr.s happy. I have been to an endocrinologist because of hot flashes and insomnia, and given Provera. It was determined I have no estrogen coming from my pituitary gland anymore, and I was an EARLY bloomer. I don't have Turner Syndrome, because I have a child. I stopped growing at age 12. Does anyone know of any disorder that may be possible, because I researched and couldn't find anything that fit. PLEASE HELP !! Hi There I'm sorry I don't know much about Turner Syndrome, but I did know a girl growing up who was dignosed with it and she had a child when she was 17. The doctors were all confused but still came to the conclusion that since she had he daughter at such a young age she was able to have a baby and have Turner's. I don't know if this helps or just confuses you more. Good Luck. dont stress over it!!!!!!! you sound perfectly normal to me, if you have a normal diet and such i think your ok, we are all built different, although the estrogen thing is a bit puzzling to me, are you ovaries producing estrogen?? have they checked your thyroid? Its odd that you have no estrogen coming from the pituitary gland anymore. It sounds like you are suffering from menopause! at your age that is not normal as you know. |
