Do I have mood disorder?

I was diagnosed with axniety disorder 2 years ago and since that I had begun to feel better just a little while ago I had an episode where It is hard to explain but I felt weird all over and I was feeling irritable and nervous the same time my head was light and I had burning sensations in my legs and feet it seem to subside has I went to the hospital why I wonder the doctor told me I have mood disorder does that mean I am going crazy or what I am ashamed of it and am scared to death I havn't eat much lately my stomach is turned and is making all kinds of noises I still keeps thinking I got something physical and serious that is causing this, I did have blood test done a while ago (CBC) and EKG's and blood test on my heart and also blood test on my organs and they all came back good could anybody give me some insight on this and tell me honestly what they think of this please thanks.

First I can tell you that you are NOT going crazy and never should you have to feel embarassed.

I don't know how much the doctors have told you, but the two major types of mood disorders are depression and bipolar disorder. I'm out of my field by saying this, but it doesn't sound like either, even though anxiety and depression go hand in hand.

It sounds like panic attacks. Did the doctors tell you anything besides they think you have a mood disorder? Whatever it is, they need to tell you more and help you.

Make another appointment with your doctor and have them recommend a good psychiatrist for you. You shouldn't deal with this alone and you should get a proper diagnosis.

Not sure for you but when i forget and skip doses of my anti anxiety medicine I have very similar symptoms

HI David,
I know what you are going through. It is scary and horrible and overwhelming. I have had the same thing for the past few years.

I had had anxiety disorder on and off all through my life.
It has always manifested in health anxiety - being very aware of funny feelings in my body and then my mind goes crazy thinking that I have some serious disease. 2 years agoI had MRI's, CT's, bloods, went to various specialists and finally began to believe that I was fine ( i used to look up all sorts of symptoms on the net and then think I had diseases) It was so scary, I spend so much time being scared and afraid and terrified and constantly worried.

The symptoms you describe are very much anxiety related. Try looking up alot of information on panic disorder and anxiety and you will find your symptoms listed. Stress can cause very odd and unexplainable feelings in your body and you are probably hypervigilant checking all the time to see what and how you are feeling.

I have now been to a psychiatrist and been disagnosed with a mood disorder (mixed state bipolar). I am taking meds and am great - things are good - my anxiety is much better. Anxiety is very common with people who have mood disorders. It is also very common to have a relapse or set back with anxiety disorder but thuis does not mean it is coming back for good.

I would not hestitate to go see a psych who can give you something to help with regulating your moods - something to help ease the anxiety and some therapy to help you get it under control. Try finding a support group too. STAY OFF THE NET LOOKING UP PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS. Dont be ashamed - people cant help it if they get cancer or pneumonia so why be ashamed of having a mood disorder. Lots of famous people have them!!

I think you need some support and help - it must be hell to go through what you are - it is so tiring.
