2. What food do you think caused the food poisoning?(chicken, red meat, seafood, takeaway, other)

4. How long did the symptoms last?(less than 2 hours, 2-6 hours, 6-10 hours, 10-24 hours, 24+ hours)

Food poisoning feels like stomach flu.

Most of us get mild food poisoning through out our life.
We need to be safer in what we eat and how we cook food
as well as washing hands, runny noses, communicable diseases thru body fluids, sneezing, etc. Be careful in restaurants and always wash your hands and keep your eyes open wide when anyone is cooking YOUR food!

Happened twice.

First time, fish; second time, eggs.

Symptoms the first time was just throwing up a little after eating. Lasted about 15 minutes.

The second time, throwing up within 30 minutes of eating, shakes, chills, weakness, feeling faint. Throwing up (including dry heaves) lasted about an hour. Fatigue, chills, etc. lasted 2-6 hours.

What baby_lou said.

I grew up NOT in Australia - so that's probably explains some of my answers.

1. Definitely more than 5 - but I can't say how many - too many. However, 14 years in Australia, only once.

2. That one time in Australia, Chicken Curry.
Other time, a lot of things, beef soup, tripe soup, noodles from the street, ice fruit salad. Everything you can think of really. But never really bad.

3. Australian food poisoning:
Stomach cramp, then bad fever. Then I took some Chinese meds, and felt a lot better, although very weak (due to some obvious reasons). Then I got a phone call, some friends that ate the same curry ended up in hospitals (note plural), some up to 5 days. Thank god for the doctors and nurses at the Alfred and Epworth. Lucky I only had a couple of bites.

4. Mine probably lasted for a day, roughly.
