Food poisoning question?...?


Yesterday, around 7:00 pm I ate some ranch that tasted a little off, but I kept eating it. I then got a little worried and had someone else taste it, and they said they weren't sure if it was bad or not. The exp. date on it is 08, but i had left it out for a couple of hours one night ( i know, not good) I didn't eat very much of it, but i worry about getting food poisoning. I have had it before and I would much rather go through labor again. It has been 24 hours and I am not sick upstairs or downstairs. So i guess my questions are: How long does it take to get food poisoning? (even good for future reference) and Do you think I will be fine? My 3 year old son also ate a little of it. So I guess your answers will hopefully put me at ease... lol. Thank you so much fpr taking the time to help me out.

The length of time depends on how much you ate and how bad the food is. I'm concerned that you continued to eat it when it tasted "a little off" and then allowed your 3 year old to eat it also. If its been 24 hours you are probably ok but you should call your doctor anyway

I think you would be sick by now, you and your son. But next time, always follow the rule, "If in doubt, throw it out." I'd rather waste $3.00 than have food poisoning!

With food poisoning usually get sick within the first 6 hours. You're ok.

Food poisoning hits about 4 hours after consuming the bad food.
