Question about food poisoning......?

i think I had food poisoning, I had severe cramping, vomiting and diarrhea for one day and this was 2 days ago. I could eat nothing for the whole next day and even now when i eat something i feel a bit nauseated. Could this have been food poisoning? How long can you feel ill afterwards?

Norwalk virus: Causes a mild illness with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, and low鈥揼rade fever. These symptoms usually resolve in two to three days. It is the most common viral cause of adult food poisoning and is transmitted from water, shellfish, and vegetables contaminated by feces, as well as from person to person.


CAUSES:
* Infective agents include viruses, bacteria, and parasites.


* Toxic agents include poisonous mushrooms, improperly prepared exotic foods (such as barracuda), or pesticides on fruits and vegetables.

Food usually becomes contaminated from poor sanitation or preparation. Food handlers who do not wash their hands after using the bathroom or have infections themselves often cause contamination. Improperly packaged food stored at the wrong temperature also promotes contamination.

It could be or it could be a 24hr GI virus.

Could be food poisoning.. i had poisoning quite a number of years ago but i remember having the runs for about 2-3 days and i had to go right then and there as soon as i had the urge it was horrible!!!
